Defining user roles
Early in the process, Bridge worked with Oraya to explore various ways of completing the treatment setup. Concepts for both one and two operator solutions were generated and tested with prospective users. Each screen location and mode of interaction came with its fair share of tradeoffs, and while a touch screen near the patient head restraint seemed like an ideal location, the large overhead display provided considerably more visual real estate and emerged as the best viable option.
Optimizing the workflow
While Oraya worked to determine the workflow for optimal treatment success, Bridge collaborated on how to best group those interactions.
Working towards a refined user interface
With the physical interface and general workflow locked down, Bridge developed a series of rough wireframes exploring a wide range of interaction possibilities. Through a series of design iterations, Bridge and Oraya narrowed towards a single solution.
